The fascinating history of SAME
The history of SAME (pronounced "Sarmie") is so interesting that a full biography is available and it makes for fascinating reading.

It's called “Four Wheels Ahead: A Biography of the SAME Group”.

The family behind the SAME tractor is legendary. Same was founded in Treviglio Italy in 1927 by pioneering engineer Francesco Cassani.

The two Cassani brothers invented and built the first diesel tractor in 1927 when they were in their early 20s.  In 1952 they produced the first front-wheel-assist tractor.

They were mechanical geniuses, visionaries and entrepreneurs who literally had their fingerprints on every tractor they built. They established a company philosophy of constant improvement and innovation.

Their grandsons are still at the company, continuing in this great family tradition.

The Group has an international capillary distribution network and produces its own range in four plants in Italy, Germany, Poland and in India.

Same tractors cover a performance range from 25 to 265 hp.

The Group invests 2.4% of turnover in research and development.

Same tractors reflect advanced technological research efforts, anticipating the needs of modern farming in all operating conditions.
